Hey Eggies!

To ensure all Eggies have a great gaming experience, we will be performing a zero-downtime maintenance between 10:00-10:30 on 23 Apr. We will make another announcement notifying you about the end of the update once it's been concluded. Details of this update are as follows:

 

Game Mode Updates

 

I. Hype: Von Dango Hero Is Live

The magic sustain tank Von Dango has officially joined the Hype battlefield!

 

Von Dango wields a blue-and-white porcelain spoon. He may look honest and adorable, but he packs a serious punch! With powerful sustain, Von Dango can generate tons of Glutinous Rice balls to heal himself—and he can even jump into enemy crowds to cause chaos!

II. Ebby: Double Helix Experiment Tower Update!

Everyone, something strange is polluting the underground water source in Banquet Land! Set off on a journey with Sirias and Orb~ Take on the Double Helix organization—earn points from Challenges to exchange for tons of rare rewards, including Ebby Vitality Coin, Potential Fruit, Do-Over Orb, and more. You can also get 3 brand-new Ebbies from the Horror Treasure Hunt Squad!

III. Ebby: Exploration Random Encounter Is Live!

The brand-new Random Encounter feature is now live—now you can run into your Ebby buddy on the continent! During Solo exploration, select “Enable Random Encounter” for a chance to meet other Eggies in this run. Meet up with others who also want a Random Encounter~. Note: Exploration with Random Encounter enabled costs 1 Fuel.

Farm Update

 

I. Farm Vehicle

Update Time: After maintenance on 23 Apr (UTC+8)

The Old Farmer stayed up all night and finally developed the Farm Vehicle!

 

(1) After 10:00 on 23 Apr, Eggy Farm will add the new “Farm Vehicle” Feature. Dispatch to mine in the Mines to get various Farm Vehicle parts. After completing Assembly at the crafting bench, you can unlock the “Farm Vehicle.” The “Farm Vehicle” is parked to the right of the Eggy Farm entrance.

 

(2) Eggies can drive the “Farm Vehicle” to fields, fish ponds, and the Pasture Volume for a more convenient automated farm life.

 

(3) Maintaining and using the 【Farm Vehicle】 consumes Fuel. If you don’t have enough Fuel, you won’t be able to drive the 【Farm Vehicle】. You can get Fuel Material by Dispatch to mine, then craft Fuel at the Workbench!

II. Farm Appearance Optimizations

The Farm Appearance 【Friendship Castle】 will now save its last rotating state. You can also toggle the castle’s music on/off separately now—this setting will be saved too, so Eggys won’t need to turn it off again when entering the Farm.

【Hype】 Series Bug Fixes:

1. 【Starry Steed】 Fixes

- Fixed an issue where Skill 1 “Piercing Star Feathers”’ slow effect didn’t take effect.

- Fixed an issue in Free-for-All where, after getting the exclusive card “Transcendence,” the respawn time after a KO was too short.

2. Fixed an issue where 【Vibe Poet Wang Lun】’s Skill 2 “Golden Pig Blessing” Shield could trigger multiple explosions.

3. Fixed an issue where 【Fin-isher Eggy】’s Skill 2 “Twin Fin-ishers” restored HP abnormally.

 

1. Hype Series Adjustments & Optimizations

1. 【Hype】 Series Hero Balance Iterations & Optimizations

(1) 【Starry Steed】 Nerfs:

By design, 【Starry Steed】 is a Growth-based marksman, but its overall combat Display exceeded our expectations. We’ve reduced 【Starry Steed】’s DMG and team healing, and slightly nerfed its mobility so it can’t kite enemies too easily. Changes are as follows:

- Passive “Holy Light” DMG changed from 0.3*Physical ATK + 0.5*Magic ATK + 3*own current Lv. to 0.25*Physical ATK + 0.4*Magic ATK + 2*own current Lv.

- Skill 1 “Piercing Star Feathers”: In the overlapping area, repeat-hit DMG is reduced by 50%. Base cooldown increased from 7.5/7/6.5/6 to 10/9/8/7.

- Skill 2 “Holy Light Sprint”: Burst Accelerate reduced from 40% to 30%.

-Skill 3 “Pegasus Descends” healing adjusted from 30+1.5*Magic ATK to 20+1.2*Magic ATK; Lv. Growth reduced from 40 to 20

(2) [Vibe Poet Wang Lun] Nerf

Wang Lun’s skill DMG and normal attack DMG contribution were higher than expected and didn’t match the intended support role. We lowered Skill 1 values and nerfed Basic and Growth Attack Speed. Since combat power in the current version is a bit high, we also reduced the Shield value and increased the Ultimate cooldown:

-Basic Attack Speed reduced from 105 to 95; Growth Attack Speed reduced from 1 to 0.8

-Skill 1 “Spend Like a King” cooldown increased from 6s to 8/7.5/7/6.5s; damage-over-time reduced from 8+0.12*Magic ATK to 6+0.1*Magic ATK

-Skill 2 “Golden Pig Blessing” cooldown adjusted from 11/10/9/8s to 12/11/10/9s; Shield value adjusted from 60+0.6*Magic ATK to 45+0.5*Magic ATK

-Skill 3 cooldown adjusted from 30s to 38s

-Exclusive Card “Heavy as Gold” stun duration reduced from 1s to 0.5s

(3) [Seventh Calabash Brother] Nerf

Since the Calabash Brother could provide frequent team Shields and crowd control, its overall performance was too strong. We nerfed the Shield value and reduced the Calabash Brother’s attack range so it can’t safely poke enemies from low risk, and we also lowered its control frequency:

-Attack range reduced; Basic Attack Speed reduced from 105 to 95; Growth Attack Speed reduced from 1 to 0.8

-Passive Shield value reduced from 45+0.75*Magic ATK to 40+0.55*Magic ATK

-Skill 2 cooldown adjusted from 12s to 15/14/13/12s

-Skill 3 cooldown adjusted from 30s to 35s

(4) [Fin-isher Eggy] Adjustments

Fin-isher Eggy already has strong mobility, and its overall stats have exceeded expectations. We’ve removed the Enhanced Normal Attack Movement Speed mechanic and slightly reduced the DMG of its “Twin Fin-ishers”:

-Remove: While Enhanced Normal Attack is active, Movement Speed +20%

-For “Twin Fin-ishers,” the first hit’s DMG is reduced from 20 + 0.5*Physical ATK to 16 + 0.4*Physical ATK; Lv. Growth is reduced from 10 to 8. The second hit’s DMG is reduced from 30 + 0.6*Physical ATK to 20 + 0.5*Physical ATK

 

2. [Hype] Perk Card Adjustments

(1) Perk Card Rarity Adjustments

After this update, the following cards did not meet our rarity expectations and have been adjusted:

[Double Jump] Rarity adjusted from epic to rare

-Replaces your summoner skill with Hop Step with two charges, with a fixed recharge time of 30s.

[Friend of Nature] Rarity adjusted from epic to rare

-Restores 5% of Max HP every 2s while in bushes.

[Precise Block] Supreme quality adjusted to epic quality

-You have a chance to block and reduce DMG taken by 40%. Your block chance equals your Physical Crit.

[Fury] Supreme quality adjusted to epic quality

-Taking DMG has a 30% chance to reduce your Ultimate's cooldown by 1s.

(3) Perk Card Adjustments

[Fury] Rare quality buff

-Before: Taking DMG has a 20% chance to reduce your Ultimate's cooldown by 1s

-After: Taking DMG has a 15% chance to reduce all skills' cooldown by 1s

[Martial Arts Mastery] Epic quality nerf

-Before: Physical ATK +35%

-After: Physical ATK +30%

[Magic Mastery] Epic quality nerf

-Before: Magic ATK +35%

-After: Magic ATK +30%

[Stunning Potential] Supreme quality nerf

-Before: Hitting opponents with skills has a 40% chance to stun them for 2s. Can be triggered once every 6s.

-After: Hitting opponents with skills has a 40% chance to stun them for 1.5s. Can be triggered once every 8s.

[Resilient Origin] Rare quality nerf

-Before: At the start of each battle, permanently increases HP by 55

-After: At the start of each battle, permanently increases HP by 45

[Steady Progress] Rare quality nerf

-Before: Each round victory increases HP by 80, with no reduction upon defeat.

-After: Each round victory increases HP by 65, with no reduction upon defeat.

(4) General card display optimizations: all buff effects now include an icon showing their status effects.

(5) New special effect displays for equipment

-We’ve added a special effect Tip for when the Enhanced Normal Attack is ready while the equipment cards [Ring of Judgment], [Overcharged Cannon], and [Overload Cleaver] are equipped.

-Now, when [Endurance Belt]’s low-HP DEF increase takes effect, there will be a clear special effect display.

-Now, when [Breaker Hammer] weakens an enemy’s DEF, there will be a clear special effect display.

(6) Bug Fixes

-Fixed an issue where [Resonance Cutter]’s actual attack bonus was 15 instead of 20.

-Fixed an issue where after the epic-quality [Here Comes Fortune] rolled into [Rebirth], the random card quality would be epic.

II. Fright Night Escape Adjustments & Optimizations

Fright Night Escape Adjustments & Optimizations

1. Balance Adjustments

Survivor Balance Adjustments

(1) Animal Tamer (Buff)

Compared to other rescue roles, the Animal Tamer faces higher risk when rescuing up close and is currently slightly below our expectations. We’ve made targeted buffs to increase the payoff for a successful rescue:

-When Whip Strike triggers, it will also trigger the Animal Tamer’s on-hit Accelerate.

-When Whip Strike triggers, reduce Roll’s remaining cooldown by 6 seconds.

(2) Demolition Master (Nerf)

Compared to other control roles, Demolition Master’s multi-character diminishing returns feel a bit lacking, which can lead to extreme match experiences. To address this, we’ve increased Demolition Master’s multi-character diminishing returns:

- For each additional Demolition Master, Demolition Art’s Basic cooldown extension has been increased from 5s to 15s.

(3) Newsboy (Nerf)

In Co-op Mode, Newsboy can use “Excited Scoop” more often, making it stronger than expected in Co-op Mode. To address this, we’ve reduced the benefits of this skill in Co-op Mode:

- In Co-op Mode, when there are 1/2/3/4+ Newsboys, Excited Scoop progress has been reduced from 42/30/26/21 to 32/23/20/16.

(4) Water Phantom (Nerf)

When multiple Water Phantoms team up, they can use Slide’s mobility to avoid fights and stall, which may lead to extreme match experiences. To address this, we’ve added multi-character diminishing returns to Slide:

- Siren's Wraith trigger interval and Slide cooldown: +15s for each additional Water Phantom.

(5) Bishop (Buff)

Bishop’s base stats in the launch version were a bit conservative. Now that the role’s data has stabilized, its power floor in the current version is lower than expected. This update will raise Bishop’s minimum effectiveness:

- Basic coal-mining speed increased to 0.8% (+0.3%).

- Lunar Fall Delay Time reduced from 1s to 0.8s.

- After leaving Misty Moon Singularity, the see-through time for the inside has been reduced from 5s to 2s.

(6) Student Council President (Buff)

Student Council President’s “Game of Strategy” has high execution and strategy demands, but its payoff in the current version is lower than expected. This update will increase the rewards and reduce the penalty for individual failure:

- In the Default state, gain 1 point of temporary HP during Game of Strategy.

- Intermediate Growth “Always Prepared” adjusted to: If you succeed in Game of Strategy without taking DMG, Recover 1 HP.

- Consecutive calibrations after a successful Game of Strategy will not trigger calibration failure, and calibration effects are increased by 50%.

- The base slow duration increase per loop for Restraint Tape has been increased from 1s to 1.3s.

 

Hunter Balance Adjustments

(1) Deranged Nurse (Buff)

Landing hits with the Deranged Nurse doesn’t just affect how she builds her combat Advantage—it also impacts how well her later upgrades come online. This update raises her minimum match strength:

- You now start the match with one skill enhancement effect.

- Passive “Savor the Pain” buff: By Default, after one enhancement effect is consumed, the other enhancement effect will continue for 10 more seconds.

- The previous mid-tier Growth “Bloody Smell” has been adjusted to: When Agony Field and Phantom of Pain are created, you continuously reveal nearby Survivors.

- After you begin controlling Phantom of Pain, Agony Field will start its cooldown immediately—no need to wait for it to return or for Descent.

(2) Transfer Student (Adjustment)

The Transfer Student can use powerful crowd control and combine it with badges to create a more extreme match experience. This update addresses that by adjusting the overall skill loop:

- Dreamrealm Warp is now a Default ability.

- Dreamrealm Warp adjustment: For 20 seconds after arriving at Wake-up Time, you can return to your Cast Spell location (interrupts can no longer trigger Dreamrealm Warp).

- The original early Growth “Dreamrealm Warp” has been replaced with “Second Awakening”: Dreamrealm Warp can trigger Dream Afterglow.

- Dream Exploration’s base cooldown has been reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds, with a 10-second starting cooldown at the beginning of the match.

- Back to Sleep cooldown reduced from 20 seconds to 10 seconds.

 

Other Changes

- Except for the badge “Tenacious Soul,” active-use badges can no longer be used while casting skills or while affected by control effects.

 

2. Improvements & Bug Fixes

(1) Updated the backstories for Transfer Student Dolores and Student Council President Ilara.

(2) Added Surprise Eggs for Lecturer in Red and Bishop.

(3) Fixed an issue where the cooldown-increase effects for multiple characters, including Soldier and Demolition Master, were incorrect.

(4) Fixed an issue where the Transfer Student could press Carry and Dreamrealm Warp at the same time and trigger both.

(5) Improved the Physics and Display for how the Transfer Student in a floating state gets affected by outside forces when out of control.

(6) Fixed an issue where the Medium “Oracle - Illusory Flame” would not disappear after disconnecting from Start Digging under certain operations.

(7) Adjusted the height proportions of the Hunter model in the Fright Night Main Lobby.

(8) Improved the Hunter’s Sit action to look smoother and more natural.

(9) Fixed an issue where the Butler “Loyal and Reliable” displayed the wrong name while pledging loyalty.

(10) Fixed an issue where the Water Phantom “Tidal Spear” had an abnormal knockback time for the penalty stand.

(11) Fixed an issue where the Transfer Student’s facial expression looked abnormal when attacking.
